What do I need to install the Dublin Coolbar?
The Dublin Coolbar will only work with Internet Explorer
on a PC running Microsoft Windows. You will also need the
Microsoft .NET framework installed on your PC to run this
application.
I tried to install the Coolbar and I got a message telling
me that I need the .NET Framework what is this?
The Coolbar is a windows application that is built using
Microsoft's .NET framework. Most people will have the .NET
framework installed on their machines already as it is provided
by Microsoft as part of it's automatic update services. You
can get the .NET framework from the Microsoft by clicking
here.
Does the Dublin Coolbar collect data or send information
back to Dublin Tourism about me?
No the Coolbar application does not collect any information
about you, or what you look at on the internet.
Does the Dublin Coolbar contain advertising or generate
pop-up ads on my computer?
No. The Dublin Coolbar does not generate advertisements.
It contains links to online services, special offers and
competitions that Dublin Tourism is offering.
Does the Dublin Coolbar change or modify my internet settings
or change my homepage when I install it?
No. The Dublin Coolbar does not modify your internet settings
in any way.
I already use another toolbar will I need to uninstall the
other toolbar before I try the Dublin Coolbar?
No. The Dublin Coolbar is fully compatible with other
browser toolbars. We do not know of any conflicts that exist
with any other browser bars or plugins.
How do I uninstall the Dublin Coolbar?
You uninstall the Coolbar just like you would remove any
other PC program. To uninstall the Dublin Coolbar you simply
need to open your
control
panel
in Windows,
click
on the
the
"add/remove
programs" icon. When the list of programs appears,
scroll down until you see an application called CoolBarXM
and click uninstall.
